Quick Strawberry Chia Jam
Our Favorite Way to Use Up Fresh Berries
🍓 Recipe:
Easy Strawberry Chia Jam
Ingredients:
2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
1–2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons chia seeds
Store in an airtight container for maximum freshness. Lasts 5-7 days in the fridge ( if you don’t finish it by then).
Instructions:
Add strawberries to a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the berries begin to break down (about 5–7 minutes).
Mash the softened strawberries with a fork or potato masher to your preferred consistency.
Stir in the maple syrup and lemon juice. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
Remove from heat and stir in chia seeds. Let the mixture sit for 10–15 minutes to thicken.
Once cooled, transfer to a jar and store in the fridge for up to one week.
Tips:
For a smoother texture, blend the jam before adding chia seeds.
This also works great with frozen strawberries—just thaw first
